Speeding Firefox to match with your work!

Welcome again to my knowledge bank……

Dear Friends! We know that “Firefox” is one of the best browser for SEO and Internet Marketing activities as it supports so many SEO pluggins, like Rank Checker, Book marking tools, Keyword Analyzer and many others. But we get irrated many times when the browsing speed became turtle while work is on fire. IE has very less flexibility and Chrome as well as Safari doesn’t supports various of tools. Hence we have only option left is Mozilla Firefox. I’ve faced so many problems while working with tabs and various tools in Mozilla Firefox. I did a lot of practices to get rid of it and finally I’ve a solution for this problem. I wish to share it with all of you so that you may also enjoy your browsing with your broadband and high speed data connection. Here is the solution.

Forevergeek.com has a useful guide on speeding up firefox for broadband users. Basically after getting to the hidden configuration settings you set the browser to request more data that it usually does.

1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return.

speed-up-mozilla

After hitting “about:config” you the screen like above. Click on the “OK” Button. Then your screen will become like this:

speed-up-mozilla1

Now Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. You can see the bold entries in above screen shot.

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages MUCH faster now!

Now you can enjoy your various tools as well as multiple tabbed browsing. If you don’t have Mozilla Browser Please download it from Here.
